This is my 3-year-old “Red” Golden Retriever, Scout.  He loves EVERYONE and everyone loves him!  Honestly, he is the best thing I can imagine greeting me at the door after a long day at work.

Janet Chan
​This is my dog, Bailey. She is an 8-year-old Pomsky. 
Her favorite thing to do is sit in the yard and wait for other dogs to pass by and play. 
She is quite a celebrity in our neighborhood and has trained the UPS driver to stop and give her treats even when we don't have a package!

The Sewell Travel Award for Public Health (STAPH) Committee invites applications for 2024 Sewell Stipends to attend the APHA Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, MN, Oct. 27–30, 2024. The theme this year is "Building Trust in Public Health and Science." Visit the APHA Annual Meeting Website for more information about the conference. 
The award will cover the cost of APHA membership and early-bird conference registration. In addition, all librarians receive $300 to help offset the cost associated with travel, meetings with your mentor, childcare, etc.  
The eligibility requirements are below.  

• Be a librarian or information specialist with an MLS/MLIS or equivalent degree;  
• Work with or have accepted a librarian/information specialist position that now includes, or will include in the near future, working with public health practitioners or PH/PH-related students, staff, and faculty; and  

• Be a United States citizen or have permanent resident status (i.e.,  a holder of a green card)
