Instruction is a vital part of a librarian’s job; developing instruction that will hold an audience’s attention, especially in a virtual format, can be challenging. Our presenters will share their experiences and ideas on using technology and other tools to develop creative solutions in instructional design. Meet our presenters! Roz McConnaughy is the Assistant Director for Education & Outreach at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Library in Columbia, SC. Her interests include active learning, game-based learning, and the use of play in library instruction. Rachel Valentine currently serves as a Reference and Instruction Librarian at Blinn College Library - Bryan, TX. She loves helping students to learn how to do research and enjoys the many hats one must wear as a community college librarian. Rachel loves cooking and any kind of cooking competition shows. Christine Andresen, MLS, MSIT, is an Associate Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC. She is passionate about her work as a Research & Education Informationist at MUSC Libraries, where she supports the development of information literate health professionals prepared to integrate evidence into practice.
