RegistrationThe FHSLA Executive Board is excited to formally invite you to this year’s Annual Meeting: Fostering Truth and Communication in Digital Health Communities, being held in Tampa, FL. In our increasingly connected world, digital platforms are integral to shaping health communication and public understanding of medical information. However, the growing challenges of misinformation, predatory publishing, and unreliable health advice online threaten the integrity of health information. This year’s meeting will bring together librarians and information professionals to discuss strategies for promoting accuracy, transparency, and trust in digital health spaces. Join us for a critical conversation focused on strengthening our ability to foster truth, integrity, and transparency in health communication and research. The event will feature distinguished guest speakers, including information professionals who study and teach misinformation, as well as a dynamic panel on predatory publishing, where professionals working to combat this issue will share their insights. Attendees will have opportunities to join us for a welcome reception with access to the Tampa Bay History Center's local treasures, participate in a mindfulness session, network with peers, and receive valuable updates from member institutions and the Network of the National Library of Medicine. Additionally, poster presentations will highlight the latest initiatives within our own community. We are thrilled about this year’s event and look forward to seeing as many members as possible. If you haven’t renewed your membership yet, it’s not too late to stay informed and be part of this exciting meeting as well as year-round programming.
